3Slide-On Ring (Top left)
A removable ring that slides up, fitting approximately .20" below the top of the crucible.

Snap-On Ring (Left Center)
Also removable, but snap-fits into a machined groove located approximately .20" below the top of the crucible.

Flanged Rim (Lower Left)
A formed rim, integral to the crucible (not welded on), at the crucible's top edge. (Pictured with optional mixing enhancer bump)

Options:

Heavy Wall

Standard wall thickness is .035" or .045" (see above). Heavier wall .045" and .080" thicknesses are also available. To request pricing for these heavier wall crucibles or covers, simply complete the "custom-size request for quote form" found in this website. Please include the quantity, crucible part number, along with the wall you require.

Mixing Enhancer Bump

All crucibles are available with a mixing-enhancer bump that aids in sample/flux mixture during agitation. (See figure left). To include this option on your order, add the letters agiation. (See figure left). To include this option on your order, add the letters "MX" to the end of the appropriate part number and add $8.00 to the price.

Without Chemical Milling

All zirconium crucibles and covers are available with or without chemical-milling. Chemically milled crucibles have had any surface oxides removed, but they have a slightly thinner wall. Crucibles and covers that are not chemically-milled have a slightly thicker wall thickness, which results in a longer crucible life. However, surface oxides have not been removed. To specify crucibles that are NOT chemically-milled, simply add the letter "U" to the end of the appropriate part number. There is no difference in price for either option.
